Africa No Borders campaign: Frequently Asked Questions

Only content creators who are part of the African Narrative Collective and those who have been invited by Africa No Filter are eligible to apply for this opportunity. This is not an open grant call out. Content creators must have active vlogs, blogs or podcasts.

Applicants must have a combined following of at least 5,000 across social media (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).

The grant is open to all African content creators aged over 18 years. They must be based anywhere on the continent or in the diaspora.

You only need to submit an online application via our submittable web platform.

We welcome original content in all formats: vlogs, podcasts, animation, and social media content, as long as it highlights the benefits of intra-African tourism, personal stories of migration, and powerful stories about what a borderless Africa could mean for the continent. ANF welcomes any topic, as long as it doesn’t depict Africa as a broken and dependent continent or show Africans as lacking agency.

The content can be submitted in English or French.

Yes, you can. We are looking for content creators who are not represented by an agent or representing an organization.

Yes, you are eligible to apply as long as it’s not more than three hosts.

We welcome creators of all experience levels with the required social media following, especially those with a passion for narrative change in Africa and a compelling idea that speaks to the benefits of a borderless Africa.

After you’ve submitted your registration form, you will receive a confirmation email. However, due to the volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will get further communication from Africa No Filter. Consider your application unsuccessful if you have not heard back from us by 26th  July 2024.
