Lagos International Poetry Festival - LIPFest 2021

The 7th edition of the Lagos International Poetry Festival was a three-day affair featuring conversations and performances by the likes of multiple award-winning poet Dike Chukwumerije, Ghanaian poet Nana Asaase, and Aja Monet and Saul Williams from the US. The hybrid event featured seven panels, two masterclasses, a massive concert mashup of music and poetry, a film screening and writing training sessions. 

LIPFest also launched its first-ever poetry slam competition with a $2000 cash prize taken home by inaugural slam champion, Toby Abiodun. The in-person event was attended by 400 people while the digital event reached 361 people.
