Eric Chinje

Eric Chinje is the CEO of Africa Media Initiative (AMI), a role he was appointed to in 2014.

Before taking up his position at AMI, Eric served as senior advisor at the KRL International LLC, a Washington-based consultancy specialising in the emerging markets. Prior to that, he was the director for Strategic Communications at the Mo Ibrahim Foundation.

He studied at the universities of Yaoundé, Syracuse and Harvard. He also lectured at the School of Mass Communication at the University of Yaoundé. He has also served as vice Chair of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund Africa Club, chief in editor at was Editor in Chief of Cameroon Television, a contributing correspondent for CNN World Report, and a stringer for the BBC World Service, Voice of America, and Deutsche Welle Radio. He is an Officer of the Cameroon Order of Merit and an Officer of the Dutch Order of Orange Nassau.
