European Festivals Association has been uniting distinguished music, dance, theatre and multidisciplinary arts festivals from Europe and beyond for more than 60 years to inspire one another, foster an exchange of knowledge, help festivals speak with one strong voice to shape policy developments, increase networking opportunities, and keep festivals informed about issues at stake in the cultural world. It was founded by Jan Briers, Darko Brlek, Kathrin Deventer, Hugo De Greef, Jelle Dierickx, Rose Fenton, Michael Herrmann,Anna Lewanowicz, and Odile Quintin. We partnered with EFA on the 2022 edition of Atelier Kampala. The event brings together various experts from the cultural field and other sectors to facilitate exchanges and discussions between festival practitioners within the African continent and boost connections beyond it.
