Jacqueline Muchazoreka - Zimbabwe

Jacqueline Muchazoreka is a Zimbabwean journalist and photographer with over six years of experience in gender, sexual reproductive health and sustainable development reporting. She mainly focuses on issues around the rights of women, young girls and other marginalized communities. She holds a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Media and Society Studies and a Master of Science degree in Development Studies from Women’s University in Africa. “The Fellowship will go a long way in equipping African journalists with the necessary skills for solutions journalism which I feel will also trickle down to the development of African countries. Focusing on narrative shifting means that there will be the emergence of a new understanding and appreciation of the African narratives which have long been obscured by stereotypes and misconceptions.”
