Lara Sousa is a director,  producer, and founder of Kulunga Filmes, a production company whose main objective is to produce films by emerging filmmakers from Portuguese-speaking African countries and countries in the southern region of Africa. In her movie, Between Dream and Reality, audiences follow the journey of the Afro-Brazilian goddess of wisdom, Lemanjá, as she travels through the ocean.
