Nangamso "Mkutaji" Gumbe - South Africa

Nangamso "Mkutaji" Gumbe is a writer, movement artist and creative researcher whose creative practice is an intersection between space as it is understood through ecology and sacred architecture, embodiment somatics, audio-visual experimentations and literature. 

She has produced programmes such as ‘EmBody’ supported by the British Council SSA Cultural Exchange, and 'Shaping Memory' in collaboration with VANSA and RADAR (Loughborough University Arts). She’s working on a blog and audio storytelling series exploring wellness in contemporary African communities. “This grant is an affirmation of the value of this work to the collective African condition.”
