AYA Academy was founded by Victoria Cooke and Carina Kanbi to address the lack of women in the creative industries in Ghana and West Africa through education, empowerment, and economic development. The grant will support over 65 young women to develop the tools to establish creative careers through a combination of yearlong mentorship and targeted empowerment and employability training.  The grant will also enable four community exhibitions that will reach up to 200 community members, advocating for women's participation within the creative industries and providing information about the viable and lucrative career options available.
