Lwazi Msipha is an award-winning animator, filmmaker, and writer with a passion for innovative storytelling and captivating visuals. He’s the founder of Old Fashioned Youngin, a platform dedicated to bringing African stories to life and breaking new ground in the animation field.
The brains behind the Nurse Thandi TokTok account, his accomplishments include being listed on Forbes Africa’s prestigious 30 under 30 and receiving a South African Film and Television Award. He’s producing animated TikTok content covering water wastage, sustainable transportation, and eco-friendly lifestyle choices. “Being part of this campaign aligns seamlessly with my content creation style. It allows me to leverage my established character, Nurse Thandi, to deliver impactful and relatable messages about climate change.”
Project
Lwazi Msipha believes that there needs to be more conversations about climate change in Africa, and that these conversations must be creative.
So, he created Nurse Thandi, an animated series, to educate about climate change and inspire change. Nurse Thandi’s climate action content has a combined 96, 721 on TikTok and Instagram.
